Cendana Resort & Spa was opened in 1992 is a resort located in Monkey forest street in the main street in Ubud village. Cendana Resort & Spa is built in traditional Balinese architecture, with balcony overlooking beautiful rice field amongst the lush garden with various tropical plants and flowers.
The word of Cendana means fragrant wood called "Sandalwood", which in Bali is used for high quality carvings, ingredient of some "Boreh" and part of them used as ceremonial offerings (Banten).
Ubud market is only 5 minutes walk from Cendana Resort & Spa where you can find handicrafts, jewelry, wood carvings, furniture, weaving and many other items special with Balinese touch. If you wish to see one of famous Balinese dances, you can also find in one of the Ubud Palace just 5 minutes from Cendana Resort & Spa.
Since it is located in the central part of Bali, you can easily travel to sightsee interesting places within one day.
