Sanur was a major tourist destination of Bali up to 1991. It is so easy to travel anywhere from Sanur. Nightlife of Kuta is only 20 minutes drive, Airport is only 25 minutes drives and 40 minutes to Ubud.

Visit also Belanjong Temple in the south part of Sanur in where you can see an inscription on a low pillar that commemorates the victories of the great king, Sri Kesari Warmadewa, over his enemies in 913 A.D.

Sanur offers full range of choices of water sport activities, the water is calm by fringing reef that gives a great places for snorkeling, diving, swimming and fishing. For shoppers, just walk along Jalan Danau Tamblingan, where you can find array of warungs, cafes, art shops stand along the street. The situation almost the same as Kuta but with no hawkers.

Sanur village is divided by a busy road lies between 50 meters till 100 meter from the coastline. First group of hotels (the biggest number of hotels) are built right on the beach front where it was a green coconut palm garden and fisherman putting their traditional outrigger after fishing on ocean nearby.

The second group of hotels are also built on the opposite beach side such as Natah Bale, Prima Cottage, Puri Sading, Puri Dalem, Swastika Bungalow and Tamukami Hotel which are within walking distance to the beach.

And the third group are built on the south of the village where the beach is a mangrove and impossible for swimming. These group of hotel include Rama Villas, Waka Maya and Bali Melita Villas.
