LOVINA
Lovina is about 2.5 to 3 hours drives from Bali International airport is a great place to explore the northern coastal of Bali. The beach is a black volcanic sandy beach, calm beach. It was totally a fishing village as the main "earn of life" and lately varied by tourism sector as much tourism facilities has been built.
Lovina area is also famous for its local black "Alfonso Vineyard" and some tropical fruits are growth and supply for local consumption in Bali or even for Indonesia. You also have an adventurous experience to play with the wild dolphins on their natural habitat from a traditional outrigger. Or take a snorkeling / diving day tour to nearby Menjangan island for another one hour. The island is considered to be a first class diving point in Indonesia or even in the world.
Lovina is one of alternatives of a beach front area beside Kuta, Sanur or Nusa Dua, stretch of a 8 kilometers black volcanic sandy beach is a good place to do snorkeling and watch dolphins from outrigger.
Other visit should be done is to Buddhist Ashram in Banjar villages found on 1958 and access for only 3 kilometer from Lovina. Here you can also enjoy a natural hot spring. Changing room and restaurant are available over here now days.
Menjangan island, the spectacular under water view is accessible for one hour drive from Lovina. You should visit first Pemuteran village where available number of hotels as the main gate to the Menjangan island. Takes about 30 minutes boat ride to reach the island from Pemuteran.
Closed to this area is located one of the Bali Barat National Park is a 25,800 hectares of rain forest, palm and mangroves are protected by government. The Bali Barat National park was home for Bali Starling birds that now rarely since due to manhunt. Other animal can be found deer, civets, monkeys and wild Java buffalo
